In the biomechanics, analysis of a skill assignment we were assigned a sports skill to analyze. Our group chose to do our analysis on the cricket bowl. We broke the skill Into its components with the intention of learning exactly how the skill worked. We learned that angles that certain body parts should be placed in, and the correct timings for each movement. I learned that there were many factors that could affect the effectiveness of the cricket bowl. we found that breaking up the movements would allow the player to improve on a specific part of the movement. For example in the critical instant(the point where nothing can be done to change how effective the movement is, In the cricket bowl this is the moment that the ball leaves the bowler’s hand). It was found that a coaching implication of the movements that occur during the critical incident is that the ball should be released when the or is that an angle of 158° relative to the trunk. This increases the effectiveness and allows for the greatest height and fastest speed. These are all factors that affect the result of the cricket bowl and learning and understanding them help the player perform to the best of their ability.
